RESEARCH

In Thailand many Japanese and Thai researchers conduct collaborative research and field work together in various areas. JTREP fund of the Research and Education Promotion Foundation (R.E.P.) financially supports those Japanese and Thai researchers’ groups who work in such fields as clinical studies and practices on tropical infectious diseases, mechanical and information sciences and technology, as well as the establishment of academic association and study meeting in other emerging fields of study, for the purpose of promoting advanced sciences and technology by subsidising limited cost of research and fieldwork. In addition, JTREP fund of the R.E.P. also supports those Thai researchers and professionals who came back from Japan to Thailand after they obtained academic degrees in Japanese higher educational institutions continue their research activities and achieve careers in Thailand in collaboration with Japanese researchers.
