11 students from Suankularb Wittayalai School, Bangkok, made a study tour to Thailand-Japan Research Collaboration Center on Emerging and Reemerging Infections (RCC-ERI) of RIMD, Osaka University, in Thai NHI, Nonthaburi. The researchers delivered a lecture on the research they conduct at RCC-ERI to the students. The students visited the biosafety level-3 labs where the researchers experiment on pathogenic germs and viruses that cause dangerous diseases. They said they were amazed at the cutting-edge experimental devices such as DNA amplifier using PCR and next-generation sequencer. This tour was coordinated as part of the preparation for Study Trip to Osaka University which will be made 14-20 October 2018.
